Errata..

Sock Options for Machine Knitters- (editions before 4th edition) pg 18 " Sideways Sock Pattern" Sequence A  line 6, where it says K2R, only K1R.

OR alternatively, and even better... Upon consideration, this whole sequence is written in a terribly confusing manner, my sincerest apologies, it has been corrected for the 4th edition in the following manner...

Sequence A:

Р     *COR, knit 1 row, COL.

Р      Push 5 sts on right hand side into HP, K 1 row.

Р     “wrap yarn”(see photo 14)  K1 row.

Р      Leaving the two sts closest to the right edge still in HP, push the 3 other HP st back into WP with latches open, K 1 row.

Р      Wrap yarn, K 1 row. (change to cc here if knitting stripes)

Р      Move all HP sts back into FWP with latches open, K 1 row(change back to mc if knitting stripes)*

Р      Repeat sequence A from * to * until F______[26 ] rows are knit. Note:  If your number of rows has you ending up in the middle of a sequence, don’t worry, just put any sts remaining in HP back into WP and knit across.

Р      Beginning at left edge, count in 1/3 of the total CO stitches and reform these stitches to 3x3 ribbing. (If using the Adjustable Multiple Latch tool, set up is

 [+ - + - - - + - + ---- ] with center purl st being done singularly in a second pass)

If you will print the above and replace the section in your book that comes before "shaping the heel" it will be a much easier to follow pattern.

A Selection of Slippers pg 7 "Sassy Sideways Slouch Slippers"

Right before the Shape Heel: section, insert the line    <>  Knit F________rows again.[11rows, you will now have 22 rows total]
