Decembers Chart is a pine forest. To use on the top of a sock, be sure and turn the chart upside down if you are starting from the cuff. To minimize long floats on the lower branches, hook the white yarn in the needle above as you knit across, or, if hand knitting, catch the float by the method you prefer.
There are two versions of this chart, with just one row difference, it is interesting how different a look that you get because of this small change. Socks are knit in natural white and naturally dyed dark seafoam green (osage orange overdyed with saxon indigo and maple bark)
